Badaliyya is a movement based on the concept of BADAL (an Arabic word for "Substitution" or "Ransom". The inspiration comes from the "understanding" that interreligious relation, is primarily a movement of LOVE - a PASSIONATE LOVE that moves one to offer his/her life that others may have life and life to the full. It is a movement of self-expenditure... The model is Jesus Christ in the cross who paid the price by being a RANSOM for us! Bapa Eliseo "Jun" Mercado, OMI

Solidarity with those who have less in life....
AS OUR LENTEN OBSERVANCE WE NEED TO DO LIKE THE GOOD SAMARITAN TO THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED.... THEY ARE OUR NEIGHBORS!
1st Sunday in Lent (B)
Short Reflection for the 1st Sunday of Lent (B)
Readings: Genesis 9: 8-15; 1 Peter 3: 18-27; Mark 1: 12-15
Selected Gospel Passage: “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." (Mk.2 15)
Short Reflection: Lent is a special season to be more attentive to the “disclosure” of the kingdom of God as we journey through life. BELIEVE in the GOSPEL! The Season of Lent is CHARACTERZED by three exercises: ALMSGIVING or ACTS of CHARITY; PRAYERS; and FASTING. Do this and the Kingdom of God has come to your lives.

6th Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Short Reflection for the 6th Sunday in the Ordinary Time (B)
Readings: Leviticus 13: 1-2. 44-46; 1 Corinthians 10:31- 11:1; Mark 1: 40-45
Gospel Passage: “Moved with pity, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched the leper, and said to him, ‘I do will it. Be made clean’." (Mk.1: 41)
Reflection: We, too, need to feel Jesus’ “touch” and hear his voice “I do will it…” In one sense, all of us are suffering from the leprosy of sin. But that disease is not our truest self, our deepest nature. Our true nature is inherently beautiful, made in the divine image and likeness. This is what Jesus would restore.

5th Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Short Reflection
for the 5th Sunday of the Ordinary Time (B)
Readings: Job 7:
1-4. 6-7; 1 Corinthians 9: 16-19; Mark 1: 29-39
Gospel Passage: “Rising very early before dawn, he left and
went off to a deserted place, where he prayed.
Simon and those who were with him pursued him and on finding him said, ‘Everyone
is looking for you.’ He told them, ‘Let us go on to the nearby villages that I
may preach there also. For this purpose have I come.’ So he went into their
synagogues, preaching and driving out demons throughout the whole of Galilee.” (Mark
1: 35-39)
Short Reflection: We, too, need to find an appropriate time
and place where, we can pray. Prayer should precede our preaching and healing,
especially expelling demons both in our lives and in our community
DHIKR SIMPLE METHOD...
Dhikr is an Arabic word for remembrance. In the
“tariqa” (the way) movement, dhikr developed into a form of prayer… It is a
prayer of the heart… following three simple steps:
1.
Write in one’s heart a certain passage of the Holy
Writ…
2.
Make the same passage ever present in one’s
lips.
3.
Then wait for God’s disclosure on the meaning of
the passage…that interprets one’s life NOW…!
It takes a week of remembering (dhikr)…or even more
days to relish the beauty of this method…
