Thessalonians 1: 5-10; Matthew 22: 34-40
Selected Passage: "Teacher, which
commandment in the law is the greatest?"He said to him, "You shall
love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all
your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like
it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets
depend on these two commandments." (Matthew
22:36-40)
Meditation: The
Love of God and Love of Neighbor remains the basic ethical measure of our
words, thoughts and actions. We should not behave and think like the Pharisees
and Scribes who multiply laws yet are lacking in the real measure that counts.
In the Muslim Letter – the
Common Word between you and us – addressed to all Christian Leaders, it
challenges Muslims and Christians to live the Common Bond that unites them both
– that is – the Love of God and Love of
neighbor.
DHIKR SIMPLE METHOD
Dhikr is an Arabic word which means REMEMBRANCE.
1st step: Write the text in your heart.
2nd step: Let the text remain always in on your lips and
mind - RECITING the text silently as often as possible...
3rd step: Be attentive to the disclosure of the
meaning/s of the text in your life.
