Gospel Passage: “The righteous will answer him and say, “lord, when did we see
you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we you
stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or
in prison, and visit you? And the King
will say to them in reply, “Amen, I say to you whatever you did for one of the
least brothers or sisters of mine, you did for me”. (Matthew 25: 37-40)
Meditation: People have the tendency to multiply and
impose so many laws and requirements. Yet
one thing is truly required of us - to help the poor and be in solidarity with
them. It is, indeed, sobering that in the end this is the only thing that
matters - what we did or did NOT do for the least of our brothers and
sisters. Our true measure and worth
would depend on our ACTUALLY lifting our fingers to help the poor, the orphans,
the strangers, the destitute and those in the margins of our society. Beware of
the YEAST of the Pharisees!

DHIKR
SIMPLE METHOD
1st step: Write
the text or Dhikr (the Arabic word for REMEMBRANCE) in your heart.
2nd step: Let
the text remain always in on your lips and mind - RECITING the text silently as
often as possible...
3rd step:
Be attentive to the disclosure of the meaning/s of the text in your life.
